Meet the team behind one of the UK’s biggest construction projects, the Thames Tideway tunnel at DCW's exclusive Tideway Hub.
Thames Tideway is the largest project ever for the UK’s water industry and has recieved GBP 700 million of funding from the European Investment Bank, the largest-ever water loan and the most significant support for UK infrastructure since Crossrail.
The Thames Tideway Tunnel is a major new sewer, urgently needed to protect the tidal River Thames from pollution. London's sewerage system is no longer fit for purpose and spills millions of tonnes of sewage into the tidal section of the river every year. Tideway is building the tunnel to tackle the problem of overflows from the capital's Victorian sewers for at least the next 100 years, and enable the UK to meet European environmental standards.
Innovation will sit right at the heart of this complex project and like Crossrail before it the team are exploring some of the most innovative technologies and solutions to future proof the project through construction and for the next 100 years. Meet the team Tideway team and their Alliance partners for a series of workshops and hands on demos of the latest technology in use on the project.
